Native to tropical Africa, each Egyptian Star Flower has 5 x petals and we grow them in a white, pink & scarlet colours.
With a grassy-honey-flavoured heat and a mild flavour, these flowers are quite versatile as they're soft and delicate but won't compromise the flavour of a dish.
While the Egyptian Star Flower is used as a herbal medicine in many African countries, in more temperate areas, the Egyptian Star Flower is grown for its' colourful cluster of flowers that attracts bees and butterflies.
