Karkalla is an Australian Native ground cover plant, with fleshy leaves and pink daisy like flowers. Commonly known as Beach Banana (TM) or Round Leaf Pig Face, it is a succulent and has a distinct salty taste.

  • The leaves and flowers are edible and can be eaten raw, stir-fried, or pickled
  • The succulent leaves have a salty flavour and accompany seafood well
  • Chop finely in a salsa for a zesty, crunchy surprise
